சாலை விதிமுறை மீறல்களுக்கு விதிக்கப்பட்டுள்ள அபராத தொகையை ரத்து செய்ய வேண்டும், பெட்ரோல், டீசல் விலையை ஜி.எஸ்.டி.க்குள் கொண்டு வர வேண்டும் என வலியுறுத்தப்பட்டுள்ளது.
மேலும், ஒவ்வொரு ஆண்டும் ஏப்ரல், செப்டம்பர் ஆகிய மாதங்களில் தமிழகத்தில் உள்ள 43 சுங்கச்சாவடிகளில் 10 சதவீதம் சுங்க கட்டணம் உயர்த்தப்படுகிறது. இதனால் லாரி உரிமையாளர்கள் பாதிக்கப்படுகின்றனர். இதை ரத்து செய்ய வேண்டும் என்றும் வலியுறுத்தப்படுகிறது. இந்தியா முழுவதும் 45 லட்சம் லாரிகள் ஓடாது என்றும், தமிழகத்தில் 4½ லட்சம் லாரிகளும், சேலம் மாவட்டத்தில் 38 ஆயிரத்து 390 லாரிகளும் இயங்காது என்றும் அறிவிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது. லாரிகள் வேலை நிறுத்தம் காரணமாக தமிழகத்தில் 10 கோடி மதிப்பிலான பொருட்களும், சேலம் மாவட்டத்தில் ரூ.3 கோடி மதிப்பிலான பொருட்களும் தேக்கம் அடையும் என தெரிவிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.
